“A NOSSA História” brings together founders, managers, employees, and partners to tell the insurer's evolution and recount moments that shaped two decades of the sector in Angola.

Two decades of a brand, told by those who were there. That is the premise of “A NOSSA História”, a documentary in which NOSSA Seguros revisits the journey begun in 2004 and recounts episodes that accompanied the transformation of the Angolan insurance market.

The production premiered this Thursday, October 8, at ZAP Cinemas in Shopping Avennida, Luanda, bringing together testimonies from founders, early managers, partners, employees, and the insurer's current leadership.

More than a corporate retrospective, the documentary seeks to reconstruct the history of NOSSA through the people and decisions that defined different moments in the company. The narrative begins on August 17, 2004, when Vitorino Hossi, António Van-Dúnem, and Inglês Pinto established the insurance company.

NOSSA began operations in 2005, in a market that still had low insurance penetration and a shortage of specialized professionals. The context was also one of change, following the opening of the sector driven by the General Law on Insurance Activity, published in 2000.

It is in this setting that some of the documentary's key chapters emerge: the initial technical partnership with Real Seguros, BAI Group acquiring a stake, Carlos Duarte's leadership, the rollout of mandatory Motor Insurance, and the insurer's expansion into different regions of the country.

The story also covers a less visible dimension of the insurance business: team training, creating processes and systems, risk management, and building relationships of trust with clients at a time when insurance was still unfamiliar to a large part of the population.

Financial education also features as part of this journey through initiatives like the NOSSA Financial Literacy in Universities program, reflecting a strategy to bring the brand closer to younger audiences and promote knowledge about insurance.

Produced as part of NOSSA Seguros' 20th anniversary, marked in 2025, “A NOSSA História” thus aims to turn institutional memory into branded content, preserving testimonies and events that help explain not only the insurer's evolution, but also part of the transformation of the sector itself in Angola.
